Kiran Chahal

Kiran is an Applied Innovation Lead in Applied Data and Insight team in the Cabinet Office. She has been a member of the Government Communication Service (GCS) and Civil Service for almost 7 years, working previously as Senior Campaign Manager at the Department for Work and Pensions and secondments with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office press team during the outbreak of Ukraine invasion, and as Strategic Communications Lead on AI Adoption in the Public Sector at Cabinet Secretary's Office. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion and has written several thought pieces for GCS. This includes how to ensure campaign imagery is diverse without being tokenistic, how to create a culture of innovation at work and how to innovate incrementally. Prior to joining the Civil Service, Kiran worked at Cision, providing media evaluation solutions to clients in the financial, consumer and government/NFP sectors.
